It looks good, but…

It looks good:
Trash-O-Matic 68000, First Complete Assembly (1)
Trash-O-Matic 68000, First Complete Assembly (I/O ports)
…but it’s picked up some new noise somewhere that is not outside interference. I’m going to have to debug it some more to find out what. Some of it’s kind of awesome, but it’s a little excessive, even for the kind of crunchy trashnoise I want, so I hope I can pull it back a bit. Wish me luck!
Oh, and Happy New Year, everybody!
Cold soldier joint somewhere?
@Stickmaker Probably not, but it’s definitely something I’ll be checking for regardless. It’s just not really that kind of noise. I have some theories about input and output levels – both are seeming quite a bit hotter than in the test harness, and I didn’t have the noise cancellation circuit in the XLR port yet then, and putting that in changes the mic input level (doubling it) so that might be part of it. I’m not sure why the output levels are higher but I’ll be putting in a circuit to clamp that down too, I suspect.
