Do you, yourself, make a thing that you want to show or even sell to other people? THIS IS YOUR POST! It’s kind of like what Scalzi does, but just one post, rather than a whole week of them, because his audience is way bigger than mine. But I know I have creative people following me, too.
So, your crafts, music, books, electronics, sculpture, arts, whatever: talk about it HERE SPECIFICALLY in comments! Not on whatever echo this is, but OVER HERE. I’ll collect and repost them as a separate blog entry next Monday.
And tell friends, so they can do it too. 😀

I make wire elf ears. These are the current favorite.

Yes, I make a thing: http://dreamhart.org/product-category/jewelry/ I also wrote a guide to making a thing: http://dreamhart.org/product/wire-wrapped-tree-of-life-pendant-tutorial/
I make moisture for the human peoples! I’ve made body butter, lotion bars and lip balm for years to help my friends with eczema, rashes from hospital stays and over all environmental crunchiness.
The hair pomade was created when I I went through hospital hell and began losing my hair. It worked! Huzzah! When I met my boyfriend who is biracial, and now my husband, he couldn’t find anything natural to help him style his hair and didn’t smell like gummy bears. I offered him my pomade and he’s been using it ever since.
All my ingredients are all natural. My recipes have been tested for over 10 years and are the secret why I never look a day over 25. :3
Trying to get some love for my crafts or should that be kraftz (it was a marketing gimmick to use all the k’s and z’s) Krafty Katz Kardz and Keepsakes and Kollektionz by 4K which is the more geeky stuff – superheroes, Doctor Who, X Files and other tv series etc. 4K (the nickname for that mouthful above!) deals with more generic crafts. Everything from doilies to baby clothes! Find us at https://www.facebook.com/KraftyKatz4K?fref=ts for 4K Main and https://www.facebook.com/groups/4K.KOLLEKTIONZ/?fref=ts for Kollektionz
I make a con! Well, I’m chair & pubs. I make the website, the program book, and co-produce the CD for supporting members & lunch attendees. http://www.conflikt.org
Chainmail jewelry. I primarily sell at gaming and craft shows. I have a website for sales and have just started an Etsy store. https://www.etsy.com/shop/MythicTreasure?ref=hdr_shop_menu
I make music! It’s all available for download at the link. It’s all instrumental electronica, some more ambient, some a bit dancier. Oh, it’s all free.
If you follow Dara chances are REALLY high you know this already, but just for the record: hey, I write books!
I write the high fantasy trilogy Rebels of Adalonia for Carina Press, and I write under the name of Angela Highland for that.
And I write the Free Court of Seattle series as Angela Korra’ti! Urban fantasy for the geekily and musically inclined, and I can guarantee you that you won’t find another urban fantasy series anywhere that features a Newfoundlander bouzouki-playing hero as the main lead, an Unseelie Elvis impersonator, and most importantly, a violin-playing heroine who’s a girl of color.
You can find out everything you want to know about my books at angelahighland.com!
The Wordsmith’s Forge flutters with blue and white streamers glittering with tinsel and snowflakes. From inside comes the sound of words being forged. A sign out front says…

I take check and PayPal (there’s a button on my LiveJournal profile page). If you have another method in mind, let me know and we’ll discuss possibilities.
Vintage Star Wars Memorabilia, Topps and OPC (?) hockey cards from the 60’s and 70’s
I make stained-glass windows (slowly! I promised you one, almost three years ago now!), including some that are solar-powered (and hence animated on a small scale). Photochromic glass is also a fun thing to use: I just wish that it was less gimmicky.
I compose neo-baroque music, and am endlessly-frustrated that the people at the cathedral in Vancouver won’t let me re-tune their organ. ‘Purists’, bah!
I also write, although as with many other things in life, I choose to use a pseudonym for the enduring frustration of my stalkers.
I makes musics with Pinniped! http://pinnipedmusic.com (it’s a bandcamp site). The demos there are a few years old, but we have a new track recorded last month I need to share around — I’ll try to get to it tonight.
I also make visual art, but I’m not wanting to shout that from the rooftops until I can get back into it a bit more.
(PS I also make messes)
(I’m really good at making messes).
I make All The Things, but the current obsession is Women’s High Heel Shoes. That’s right, I’m a cordwainer – a person who makes shoes. I also do art quilts, mosaics, stained glass, spinning and weaving, costuming, calligraphy, and the occasional oil painting. As they say at Weta Workshop: Be Creative, and Make Cool Stuff. (Yes, I have the t-shirt.)
