In honour of sanding and painting the only one that actually needed either – the better two cleaned up just fine, to my surprise – have this homemade storify of tweets from last weekend.
Boxes of many boxes! Full! Three for $5. I'll use for electronics and such, but what will we find? pic.twitter.com/DguGEAL8TL

(It’s really funny how this echos differently on Dreamwidth vs. Livejournal. For once, LJ is doing the right thing, and DW is showing the alt-texts.)
No rusty bent nails and dead spiders? Or ancient batteries that have leaked? I bought one of those years ago at a yard sale, and it’s not too hard to clean them up. I used porcelain cleaner to get the rust out of the little plastic bins, and a lot of sanding/painting for the metal ( I painted it withn Ford blue tractor paint, because I had it, and had no other use for it). Those little 8 ohm mono earphones-standard with all transistor radios back in the day..
All the rusty nails in the third from last picture aren’t doing it for you? I guess they’re short and not bent, but yes, plenty of rusty bent nails. Just not as interesting to photograph.
No batteries, tho’. I got lucky there.
