It would&#8217;ve been better than <i>Batman v Superman<\/i>. Tell me I&#8217;m wrong.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/solarbird.net\/Livejournal\/2016-04\/superman-bouzouki.jpg\"><br \/><i>irish bouzouki v superman<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n<p>And yes, since the zouk was invented three years before this comic was published, I am headcanoning that this instrument (which nobody else seems to be able to identify online) is in fact an Irish bouzouki with a weird strap attachment point and not an odd cutout in the upper body. It <EM>probably<\/em> has eight strings based on what we can see of the peg configuration, and that&#8217;s a reasonably Irish resonating chamber, and it&#8217;s a narrow, Greek neck. And sure, the body&#8217;s a little small, but it&#8217;s the right shape, I&#8217;ve actually seen an oddball zouk in that proportion, <eM>and<\/eM> it was <em>very<\/em> early in the history of the instrument.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, silver-age Superman&#8217;s Kryptonite was <em>officially<\/eM> the Irish bouzouki.<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.giphy.com\/media\/XIOBXDH9lVTz2\/giphy.gif\"><\/center><\/p>\n<p>obWakeUpSheeple: WAKE UP, SHEEPLE!<\/p>\n<p>ps &#8211; this also happened, perhaps it was a prequel:<\/p>\n<p><center><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/33.media.tumblr.com\/d55599c01d079c7972a4ece2dbcce50c\/tumblr_nl0y3ejAsg1sa11jco1_500.gif\"><br \/><i>ukelele v buster keaton<\/i><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This comic cover was going around yesterday on Twitter.
