I processed it to sound like that, thanks to an accidental discovery, so I encouraged people to guess what it might&#8217;ve been originally. I even made it a contest.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve had a lot of guesses! But nobody&#8217;s there yet. This is the <em>final<\/em> hint post, and I&#8217;ll give you <em>two<\/eM> hints:<\/p>\n<p>1. If you&#8217;ve listened to my recordings, <em>you have heard this instrument before<\/em>.<br \/>\n2. It is <em>not<\/em> bowed. Not even in this recording. It just <em>sounds<\/em> like it is.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/proof-of-work\/\">Here&#8217;s where you can listen to the tracks<\/a>.
