I find that kind of surprising and a little confusing.<\/p>\n<p>See, in my head, I&#8217;m not sure how these various issues <em>aren&#8217;t<\/em> political. They aren&#8217;t necessarily <em>partisan<\/em>, true &#8211; it&#8217;s not to do with politics in the electoral sense &#8211; but all of it is still the politics of society.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think? Are these &#8220;political&#8221; to you, or something else, and if so &#8211; what would you call them?<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2013\/09\/three-out-of-four\/\">Three out of Four<\/a> &#8211; a mixture of PAX report and political complaint.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/power-and-supervillainy\/\">Power and Supervillainy<\/a> &#8211; about harassment at conventions.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2013\/08\/gatekeeping\/\">Gatekeeping and Recourse<\/a> &#8211; something specifically <eM>only men<\/em> can do about sexism in geekdom.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/all-that-swfa-fail\/\">All That SWFA Fail<\/a>, a summary and linkpost to other posts about SFWA&#8217;s sexism and racism fails this past year.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2013\/06\/somewhat-past-time\/\">Somewhat Past Time<\/a> &#8211; to just say Theodore Beale is a white supremacist.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2012\/11\/unexpected-side-effects\/\">Unexpected Side-Effects<\/a> &#8211; the triple-rainbow picture from last year, still in the top 10.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/orson-scott-card-can-blow-it-out-his-ass\/\">Orson Scott Card Can Blow It Out His Ass<\/a> &#8211; no, his begrudging admission that marriage equality is on the way does not make me want to see his movie.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/exclusion\/\">Exclusion<\/a> &#8211; why representation matters, and why a crowd that&#8217;s 1\/3rd women is not &#8220;gender-balanced&#8221; &#8211; but Hollywood thinks it is.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2013\/08\/pushback-and-misandry\/\">Pushback and Misandry<\/a> &#8211; I get into a fight with Penny Arcade&#8217;s Dave Kuchera. But like I said &#8211; I&#8217;d call these political, but other people clearly do not.
