ONE POST! Much less disturbing than implied by that phrasing!<\/p>\n<p><b>ONE:<\/b> On the last tour, people suggested that I should do a concert <em>on Second Life<\/em>. Apparently this is something people do:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img decoding=\"async\" width=500 height=300 border=0 src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_tBiEbT41Emw\/S9DN2P_9XfI\/AAAAAAAABWU\/IZBItcY8q_g\/s1600\/ri-concert-2.jpg\"><br \/><i>Someone Else&#8217;s Gig in Second Life<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And they do it with actual live performance fed in via Shoutcast servers. I am adventurous and want to try this. I have found <a href=\"http:\/\/wiki.secondlife.com\/wiki\/Getting_Started_As_A_Second_Life_Performer\">this guide<\/a>, which seems helpful. But the real trick &#8211; as always &#8211; is getting an inside contact.<\/p>\n<p>Are you on Second Life? Do you know venues looking for an artist? Talk to me! And show them <a href=\"http:\/\/youtube.com\/solarbirdy\">videos from the last tour<\/a>, and point them to <a href=\"http:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\">the band website<\/a>. This sounds amusing and I want to try it if I find a good venue manager.<\/p>\n<p><strike><b>TWO:<\/b> I can announce that <em>we<\/em> are <em>hosting<\/em> an Annie Henry house concert this Saturday, December 17<small><sup>th<\/sup><\/small>! Doors open 6pm, show starts 7pm.<\/strike> We&#8217;ve had to CANCEL! Annie&#8217;s come down with the flu. You don&#8217;t want it. We&#8217;ll try again in January.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/anniehenry.wordpress.com\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=0 src=\"http:\/\/solarbird.net\/Livejournal\/2011-12\/annie-henry-music.jpg\"><\/a><br \/><i>Live at Murkworks North<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strike>It&#8217;s funny; I&#8217;ve played house concerts, and been to other peoples&#8217;, but I&#8217;ve never hosted one before. Go RSVP!<\/strike><\/p>\n<p><b>THREE:<\/b> The <a href=\"https:\/\/crimeandtheforcesofevil.com\/blog\/2011\/12\/recommendations-post\/\">recommendations post has a bunch of recommendations in comments now<\/a>, but you can still add more. I&#8217;ll recap on Wednesday, so if you know a local-ish to you crafter, musician, artist, writer, or whatever, and they have items for sale this gift-giving season, comment with info and URL before then!<\/p>\n<p>And, of course, if you&#8217;re looking for a gift, I hope you&#8217;ll consider giving some of my music. I need ears, so if you want to download and burn some of the pay-what-you-like music as a stocking stuffer, please do! Just tell them where it came from. ^_^ And consider hosting a house concert!
